It's been a while since my last post and there's so much to tell I don't know where to start.  Well, first was Easter and that was very exciting for Evy.  She wanted to see the "Bunny Rabbit" so badly but knew she ahd to go to sleep so he would bring her candy.  Budyy of course, went to sleep like he always does.  In the morning they got to look for eggs and baskets.  Evy's little presents were hidden inside some of the larger eggs.We todl her to open one and out came a bag of little mermaid underwear that the Easter Bunny thought would be so cool and make her want to use the potty.  But as she opened the gg and asked what she got she replied rather annoyed: "Underpants! I no wear them!"  as she threw them away from her.  hmm. maybe next year Easter Bunny.  Boy were you wrong!  Buddy on the other hand rather enjoyed his socks, or atleast the part of trying to get them off.  They also got to search for eggs (real Grama Todd eggs) at Uncle Marv's house with Kolby and Skylar.

Buddy had his 9 month checkup last wednesday the 14th of April (actually he's 10 months now but who's counting?)  He weighted 21 lbs 6 oz. and was 28 1/2 inches long.  he was in the 50th percentile for both.

He is learning to crawl.  he does the army crawl and uses his right leg to launch himself forward. He gets wherever he wants to go and increasingly faster.  Evy loves that he can come play with her.  "Come on, Buddy!  Try again!" She'll say as she's coaxing him to come to her playroom as he gets distracted by some obscure crumb on the floor that he thinks he needs to put in his mouth.  Then she'll tell him to "stop eating stuff and try again".
Buddy says a few words like mama, daddy, papa, and num-num.  Of course he says num-num!  His sister wouldn't have it any other way!  Buddy's favorite right now is apple-cinnamon cheerios.  Those are actually what got him to crawl!  Daddy put them out on the living room floor so he had to move himself towards them and of course he did!  Buddy's first word besides mommy and daddy was "fishy".  Daddy was helping him to look into the big fish tank a couple of weeks ago 4/10/10, and Aiden started to point at them and say fishy.  His new favorite word for this week is: "uh-oh" 4/19/10.  He has been throwing things off his high chair so that he can exclaim "uh-oh" repeatedly throughout dinner.
Buddy and Evy are both very fond of the outdoors, too.  We have been going on walks and playing in the backyard.  We now have a playhouse, a slide, a sandbox, and soon a swingset.  SPOILED.  the most fun though is picking all the grass and dandelions and pretending to eat it.  Or in some cases, really eating it.

Uncle Brandon and Aunt Shanade got married on Saturday April 17th and Evy and Aiden were flower girl and ring bearer.  They were pulled in a wagon by Kolby and Shanade's niece as the older flower girl and ring beareer.  They both did excellently and Evy even remembered to throw out some of the petals.  Buddy also did his job of NOT diving out of the wagon.  Evy was sooo excited about her "pretty princess dress" that she got to wear.  When she woke up that mroning she had stripped herself down to her diaper because she was ready to wear her pretty dress.  It took us some convincing that she needed a bath first, and that she could wear a DIFFERENT pretty dress just until we got to church.  She wore it proudly all day!  I'll try to post pictures of it and Buddy's monkey suit later.  Budyy was supposed to have a cumberbund that great-aunt Carolyn made him but even though we tried it on and it fit a couple of weeks ago, there was no way it was going to fit him on Saturday.  He musti've had a growth spurt or eaten too many cheerios!
It was a very long but fun day for both of them.  However, Evy wasn't so fond of having to stay put and get her picture taken. Aunt Kim was trying to get her to stand with Bran and Shanade to which she replied: "Do I have to?"  But all was forgiven when teh dance came because she got to play with balloons and twirl in her pretty dress!  She also got to play with some other kids and her cousin Addison who she thinks is pretty cool.  Buddy also got to dance with various people and by that time it was all he could do just to stay awake! Needless to say they both slept very well that night!

On a side note, Evy's current favorite word is: "noyying".  Everything is annoying to Evelyn.  It started with one time I was tickling her and she replied "Mommy, that's noyying."  N ow everybody and everything is annoying. We even have video of her trying to open her Easter eggs and having trouble with one and exclaiming: "Well, that's noyying!"  She even told a little 1 year old boy at the library he was noyying too.  My favorite one so far is when we showed her a picture of Uncle Shelby playing his drums to which she commented: "That's unka Shelby and his drums.. I try play them, buuuut.... that's  noyying.  Oh Evelyn Lilly you make me laugh.

Oh!  and I should also mention that both my kids love to draw!  Buddy loves the magna doodle and occasionally some sidewalk chalk on the chair or carpet.  Evy also hung her rubber snake on her easel today so she could draw it.  Looks like there could be a couple more artists in the family. :)
